I've been a fan of Korean Dramas since my college days, that was around early 2000. I used to watch on local TV stations here in the Philippines, then later on, it became available in the internet.

I usually watched the drama that I found interesting, like in the commercials or trailers. Something that gives me the so-called "KILIG FACTOR" or Romantic Thrill.. Something that excites me.
Here's the list of my favorite Korean Drama, of course in no particular order, because.. I love them all..
1. Confession Couple

Story of married couple, Choi Ban-do and Ma Jin-joo who struggled in their married life. They came to the breaking point of their marriage. But then suddenly they woke up back in their university days. They tried to enjoy and make the most out of their current situation.
I really loved the story. It made me think like, what if I could go back in time, will I change anything? Or will I still choose the path that leads me to my current life? Or will I explore the other path and see what will happen to my life then?
Honestly, my answer depends on my mood. But if ever a chance is given, I prefer TIME TRAVELLING where I can go back to the past to visit the people or moments I missed.
2. Hi, Bye Mama

This series brought me to tears a lot of times.
Story of Cha Yu-ri, that after the accident that killed her 5 years ago, she remained as a ghost and stayed close to her daughter and other love ones.
She was given a chance to live again for 49 days and the shaman said that if she can take her place back as Cho Gang-hwa's wife and Seo-woo's mom, she will be human again.
Sorry! but as much as I would love to, I won't tell what happened next. The story is too beautiful, and I don't want to be a spoiler.
3. Endless Love - Autumn in My Heart

Another "tear-jerking" K-Drama, Autumn in My Heart. If you want to have a good cry, well -- this is the series for you.
The story is about the young boy, Yoon Joon-suh who accidentally switched the cards of her sister and another baby in the hospital, and wasn't able to put back the cards correctly.
Later on, Yoon Eun-suh had an accident and found out that she is not the biological daughter. And she needs to live with her true family. After several years, the two were reunited. But it leads to their sad love story.
Aside from the story, the soundtrack was really awesome - "Reason" and my favorite, "Prayer".
4. Moon Embracing the Sun

Another sad love story. This is about the young Crown Prince Lee Hwon falls in love with a young lady named Yeon-woo. She died suddenly but he remains devoted with her memory.
Years passed, Lee Hwon, is now king, met Wol, who resembles his dead first-love. Meanwhile, Wol has strange memories of her childhood as Yeon-woo, but she cannot remember clearly due to loss of memory.
This is one of the k-drama that made me come home early after work, so I won't miss the episodes that's being aired on local TV network. Good thing, that nowadays, k-dramas are available in the internet.
5. My Love from the Star

I started watching this from the TV but I wasn't able to finish until a year later, when I was in Dubai. Aside from work and gym, K-dramas kept me company while I was away from my family.
The story is about an alien named Do Min-joon who landed on Earth around 1600's. He was stranded and has to live up to the present time where he met Cheon Song-yi.
He later on fell in love with her, since she resembles the girl he fell in love with centuries ago. But he needs to stay away from her since his long-awaited departure back to planet is coming.
6. Hotel Del Luna

For me, this is one of the best "romantic- comedy" K-drama series. I loved how the story goes. It made my imagination wander and think about the after-life, ghosts, spirits.. And like other K-dramas, I was moved by every episodes and loved how the lead actress dresses.
The hotel formerly known as Guest House of the Moon, became Man-wol Inn then later, Hotel Del Luna caters only ghost guests.
Jang Man-wol, the cold & unemotional CEO has been running the hotel for about a millennium, a punishment due to her grave sins. Everything changed when Gu Chan-sung arrived.
7. Love in the Moonlight

I was able to finish this when I was in Dubai. The story was set during Joseon Dynasty.
The story was about Crown Prince Lee Yeong, who became attracted to Hong Ra-on, a girl but was raised as a boy and disguised herself as Sam Nom, a dating counselor.
Later, she became a eunuch of Yeong. The prince was tormented because of the feeling that he developed for Ra-on, thinking that he was a boy.
8. My 19 Year Old Sister-in-Law

This was during my college days, early 2000. I almost forgot the details that is why I decided to watch the drama, again. I really loved the OST. Due to this, I miss being young.
This is about Hae-won but was raised as Han Yoo-min since she has no memory of her childhood. She is living with her adoptive brother. She gets infatuated with Kang Min-jae, the doctor who treats her brother. Later on, Yoo-min helped Dr. Kang by pretending to be his fiancée.
She also met Kang Seung-jae, who happened to be Dr. Kang's brother. Later on, Seung-jae, finds himself falling for Yoo-min. Their lives were somehow connected due to an incident from the past.
9. Stairway to Heaven

Another tear-jerking series. This was also during my college days. The story will move you and leave you emotional. And even the OST, though I cannot understand Korean, but the song left me heart-broken whenever its being played.
The story was about childhood friends, Cha Song-joo and Han Jung-suh, separated when he left to study abroad. When he returned, an accident happened to Jung-suh. Her death was fake by Yoo-ri by swapping Jung-suh's I.D with a dead patient.
She had an amnesia and lives with Tae-hwa, who took advantage of the situation. He changed their names.
Though fate, brought Cha Song-joo and Han Jung-suh back together, but there still hardships awaits them.
10. Crash Landing on You

One of my so-called "kilig-moment" K-dramas. The story was really engaging. I became intrigued with North Korea's culture, way of leaving, etc. I was even skeptical if the actors came from the North or the South.
The story is about an heiress, Yoon Se-ri who came across a tornado during her paragliding ride and accidentally crashed in North Korean Territory.
She met Ri Jeong-hyeok, Captain of North Korean Police Force. He shared his home to her and planned for her escape back to South Korea. They eventually fell in love and discovered that they'd crossed paths several times in the past years.
11. 100 Days My Prince

The story of Lee Yul and Yoon Yi-seo, two kids came from noble families. Lee Yul develops a crush for Yi-seo because she is kind and smart. A conspiracy to remove the current king, leads to murder of Yi-seo's family. But Lee Yul was there to interfere that's why Yi-seo and her brother were able to escape. Lee Yul learned that his father has been conspiring with the coup. His father became the King, and made Lee Yul, the Crown Prince.
Years passed, Yi-seo has been living as a commoner named Yeon Hong-shim met Won-deuk, who happens to be Lee Yul, who ended up having an amnesia due to an ambush that almost killed him.Due to an ordinance, she needs to marry Won-deuk. Otherwise she will end up a concubine, or face 100 whipping.
12. Romance is a Bonus Book

I recently watched this and I was fascinated by the story. It has a lot of "kilig-moments". I really loved the story.
Kang Dan-i and Cha Eun-ho has been a long time friend. Dan-i is 5-year older than Eun-ho. She married another guy and had a daughter but after several years, they divorced.
On the other hand, Eun-ho became a successful author and editor-in-chief in a publishing company. Due to Dan-i's struggle to find job because of her career-break, she ended up working as a contract employee in Eun-ho's company.
Eun-ho also discovers that she secretly living in his house's attic since her house was demolished.
